The two countries are committed to providing the best support for business innovation activities.
On the morning of October 19, within the framework of Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga’s visit, the National Innovation Center (NIC), under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and Japan Trade Promotion Organization (JETRO) signed cooperation agreement witnessed by the Prime Minister and representatives of the two governments.
The agreed goal is to expand relations, enhance international cooperation capacity, and ensure the connection between Japanese investors and Vietnamese innovation enterprises. This is to best support the development of innovation between the two countries in general and businesses in particular.
NIC and JETRO will connect, advise and promote businesses of the two countries to cooperate and promote commercialization of products. At the same time, support the establishment of business models in the field of innovation on the basis of promoting the strengths of each party.
Mr. Nakajima Takedo, Chief Representative of JETRO Hanoi, said that the needs of Japanese businesses are increasingly diverse. Therefore, they expect that Vietnam will move towards production of high added value, increase internal force, and actively apply digital transformation.
According to Mr. Vu Quoc Huy – Deputy Director in charge of NIC, Vietnam is building an innovation network with the participation of experts and knowledge working in developed countries in the world, in which Japan, Australia, Germany, America …. Particularly in Japan, Vietnam has established a Vietnam – Japan open innovation network.
