Now there are some more Covid-19 vaccine approved for emergency use by the Ministry of Health.

In order to actively prepare for the implementation of vaccination against Covid-19, the Department of Preventive Medicine proposed the National Expanded Immunization Project (Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology) to urgently develop guidelines for the use of vaccines. a new type of Covid-19 vaccine as soon as it is approved by the Ministry of Health (Hayat-Vax vaccine, Abdala vaccine…). Also, update guidelines for vaccines already in use (if any).

In addition, the project also needs to coordinate with the Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, the regional Pasteur Institute, to plan and urgently organize training and training on Covid-19 vaccination for provinces and cities. nationwide before October 5.

Earlier, on September 17, the Ministry of Health had a decision to conditionally approve a vaccine for urgent needs in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic with the Abdala vaccine.

Thus, up to now, Vietnam has conditionally approved 8 vaccines including: AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Janssen, Sputnik V, Moderna, Sinopharm, Hayat-Vax and Abdala.

Currently, our country has injected more than 37.6 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, of which about 7.3 million people have received 2 doses of the vaccine.
