Ministries and central agencies, the preparation for the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term (election) has been seriously, proactively and protected. ensure that the schedule and schedule are correct.
From now until the election day on May 23, there is only one week left, this is the urgent time to decide the success of the election. However, the situation of the COVID-19 epidemic is complicated; information and propaganda on election at grassroots level is limited and facing difficulties in some mountainous and highland areas, areas with many ethnic minorities; hostile and reactionary forces increased anti-corruption activities at the time close to the election day.
On May 23, all voters actively participated in the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and the People’s Councils of different regions. granted for the term 2021-2026.
In order to successfully organize the election, ensure democracy, equality, lawfulness, safety and savings, and truly a festival of the whole people; create the most favorable conditions for the people to fully exercise their right of mastery in selecting, recommending and electing virtuous, talented and worthy people to represent the people at the National Assembly and the People’s Councils of different localities. At all levels, the Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and People’s Committees at all levels to uphold their sense of responsibility, focus heavily on election work, and direct the implementation of the following contents:
1- The Ministry of Health regularly updates, evaluates and forecasts the situation of COVID-19 epidemic; supplementing appropriate plans and solutions to be ready to promptly respond to situations in the prevention and control of COVID-19 to serve the election, ensuring safety and efficiency; provide guidance on timely response to local problems; establish a permanent working group from May 18 to the end of the election to receive and respond to information related to health work; coordinate with the Ministry of Home Affairs and relevant ministries and agencies to strengthen inspection and guide the good implementation of COVID-19 prevention and control in localities.
2- The Ministry of Information and Communications continues to promote communication messages, mobilize voters to vote by many traditional and modern means and methods, with appropriate frequency, such as: water, telecommunications networks (sms messages, music on hold), loudspeaker systems of communes, wards and townships (especially in remote, isolated and ethnic minority areas); direct news agencies and press to increase accurate, creative and vivid information so that voters nationwide can clearly understand and fully exercise their rights and obligations on election day; good supervision and control of information security; directing to counter, prevent, and promptly handle misinformation and false views on cyberspace about the election.
3- The Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security shall continue to actively deal with acts that cause instability in political security, social order and safety, and oppose the election; strengthen measures to grasp the situation, correctly identify, assess and forecast the plots and tricks of anti-corruption activities of hostile and reactionary forces, and ensure social order and safety nationwide. , to ensure absolute safety for the election; directing the police and army forces to strictly maintain the regime of commanding, combat duty and combat readiness at all levels and to coordinate and support localities in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic.
4- The Ministry of Home Affairs regularly cooperates closely with the Office of the National Election Council, the Government Office, relevant agencies at central and local levels to update the election situation; promptly report to the Government, the Prime Minister and the National Election Council for timely settlement of difficulties, problems, unusual situations and problems arising in the locality when holding elections.
5- The People’s Committees at all levels focus heavily on leadership and direction in the key period from now until the election day and the prevention and control of COVID-19 epidemic in the area; closely coordinate with local election organizations, promptly implement guiding documents of the National Election Council, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Government and the Prime Minister. government and ministries and central agencies on election work; conduct a review of the entire work to prepare carefully and ensure absolute safety for election day; ensure the conditions of material foundations, techniques and equipment in service of the election.
