Pocco Meimei – Electric car from only 260 million VND in Southeast Asia

Witnessing the rapid success of Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, Chinese car manufacturers also began to rush to build small urban electric cars. One of them has a brand Pocco of Yogomo Corporation of China. In March of this year, the newly established brand launched a small electric car called Meimei. According to rumors, Pocco Meimei will be sold in Southeast Asia, specifically Thailand, in the near future.Similar to Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, New Pocco Meimei 2022 has very small dimensions, including a length of 3,025 mm, a width of 1,500 mm, a height of 1,515 mm and a wheelbase of 1,950 mm. Compared with Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, this electric car model is even smaller. However, Pocco Meimei owns a front and rear design that is considered more modern than the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV.On the front of the car, Pocco Meimei has a horizontal strip of LED daytime running lights connected to a chrome splint in the middle. Just above this chrome brace is the “Pocco” braille stamp. Meanwhile, below the chrome brace is the car’s charging port. Located lower than the daytime positioning LED strip is the headlight cluster, which is located in a trapezoidal cavity and has a dark cover. In addition, Pocco Meimei is also equipped with a large rectangular central air cavity.Behind, Pocco Meimei comes with a rear light cluster connected by a red strip in the middle. The top also has a braille stamp “Pocco” like on the front of the car. In addition, there are 2 reflective strips located along the rear bumper and 5-spoke rims with 2 colors in a sporty style.Inside Pocco Meimei is a black – red or black – blue leather interior space and only 2 seats. Compared to Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, this model is better equipped with a 7-inch touch screen located on the wooden dashboard and a 5-inch LCD screen behind the steering wheel with function keys. Below the central screen is a row of climate control buttons surrounded by chrome rims. In addition, the car also has a central armrest, integrated gearshift knob and cup holders.Other notable equipment of Pocco Meimei includes power windows, engine start button, reverse camera, Bluetooth connectivity and electric tailgate. Meanwhile, the safety equipment of the car is quite basic with anti-lock braking system ABS, electronic brake force distribution EBD and tire pressure warning system. That’s not to mention MacPherson front suspension and semi-dependent rear suspension.The “heart” of Pocco Meimei is 2 types of electric motors and 2 different battery packs. The first is an electric motor with a maximum capacity of 14 horsepower, going with a 9.2 kWh battery pack, allowing the car to run 116 km after fully charging the battery.The second is an electric motor with a maximum capacity of 20 horsepower, going with a 14.5 kWh battery pack, allowing the car to run for 170 km after fully charging the battery.According to rumors, Pocco Meimei car price 2022 will be about 380,000 Baht (about 260 million VND) in the Thai market.
