Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health: Hospitals and health stations are not short of drugs

According to Ms. Nhu, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Government Inspector has completed the inspection on procurement and will announce it soon. The Department of Health has met and discussed with medical staff doing procurement to capture their thoughts and aspirations. At the same time, working with 77 general, specialized hospitals, medical centers to determine whether there is a shortage of drugs.
“As a result, we recorded that there was no shortage of drugs at medical facilities and stations. Most of the hospitals in the area had the results of drug bidding, only a few facilities left in 2 months. However, with the stable supply of drugs, the Department of Health has also approved the additional procurement plan for hospitals while waiting for the bidding results, “- Ms. Nhu confirmed.

According to Ms. Nhu, 2 months ago there was a partial shortage of some medicinal products, but now they are fully supplied. Leaders of the Department of Health regularly review and request hospitals not to lack drugs and medical supplies in treating and taking care of patients’ health, except for some rare and precious drugs over the years, not only in Ho Chi Minh City but also in the city. Ho Chi Minh City, but across the country, needs the attention of the Ministry of Health.
The Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City has proposed to establish a centralized shopping center, the first phase will focus on buying drugs. After going into stable operation, the procurement of materials and equipment will be carried out. Currently, the project has been developed and is collecting opinions from departments and local People’s Committees.

The project to establish this centralized shopping center received a very high consensus from medical staff who carry out the procurement of drugs and supplies for hospitals. Resources are expected to select people with a lot of experience in drug procurement, in addition, it also needs the support of the Departments of Justice, the Department of Planning and Investment to support human resources involved in the operation of the center to properly implement. legal regulations, minimizing errors,

The new shopping center will have adjustments in personnel and efficiency compared to the previously established Center.
