Ho Chi Minh City and 4 localities recorded 11 additional Covid-19 cases


The Ministry of Health announced that the country had discovered 11 more cases in the afternoon of April 7 Covid-19 new (BN2649-2659), are quarantined cases immediately after entry in Binh Duong (2), Hung Yen (2), Da Nang (1), Ninh Binh (4) and Ho Chi Minh City (2). Specifically:

– PATIENT 2649 (BN2649) recorded in Binh Duong: A male patient, 28 years old, a Vietnamese citizen, address in Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City.

– CASE 2650 (BN2650) recorded in Binh Duong: A male patient, 45 years old, a Vietnamese citizen, address in Vinh City, Nghe An province. On 4-4, BN2649-2650 from France entered Tan Son Nhat Airport on flight VN10 and was immediately quarantined after entering Binh Duong province. Test result on April 6 was positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, patients are isolated and treated at Binh Duong General Hospital.

– PATIENT 2651 (BN2651) recorded in Hung Yen: A male patient, 24 years old, a Vietnamese citizen, address in Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi City.

– DISEASE 2652 (BN2652) recorded in Hung Yen: A female patient, 24 years old, a Vietnamese citizen, address in Cau Giay District, Hanoi City. On 4-4, BN2651-2652 from the UK entered Van Don airport on flight VN0056 and was quarantined immediately after entry in Hung Yen province. Test result on April 6 was positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patients are isolated and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

DISEASE 2653 (BN2653) recorded in Da Nang: A male patient, 22 years old, a Vietnamese citizen, address in Quynh Phu district, Thai Binh province. On April 5, a patient from Japan entered Da Nang Airport on flight VN319 and was immediately quarantined after entering Da Nang. Test result on April 6 was positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently the patient is isolated and treated at Da Nang Lung Hospital.

– DISEASE 2654 (BN2654) recorded in Ninh Binh: A female patient, 60 years old, a Vietnamese citizen, address in Xuyen Moc district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

– DISEASE 2655 (BN2655) recorded in Ninh Binh: A female patient, 30 years old, a Vietnamese citizen, address in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.

– DISEASE 2656 (BN2656) recorded in Ninh Binh: Male patient, 59 years old, Vietnamese citizen, address in Xuyen Moc district, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province.

– DISEASE 2657 (BN2657) recorded in Ninh Binh: A female patient, 23 years old, a Vietnamese citizen, address in Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City.

On April 6, BN2654-2657 from the US entered Van Don airport on flight VN5417 and was quarantined immediately after entry in Ninh Binh province. Test result on April 6 was positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patients are isolated and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

– DISEASE 2658 (BN2658) recorded in Ho Chi Minh City: A 30-year-old male patient, an expert, is Singaporean.

– CASE 2659 (BN2659) recorded in Ho Chi Minh City: Male patient, 46 years old, is a specialist, Pakistani nationality.

On 3-4, BN2658-2659 from Dubai entered Tan Son Nhat Airport on flight EK392 and was quarantined immediately after entry in Ho Chi Minh City. Test result on April 5 was positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patients are isolated and treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.

More than 36,600 people are currently undergoing medical quarantine

Up to now, the country has recorded 2,659 Covid-19 cases of which 1,603 were caused by domestic infection. Number of new cases from January 27 to present: 910 cases.

Total number of people in close contact and entry from epidemic areas under medical monitoring (quarantine): 36,682. During the day, 7 more patients were declared cured (BN2502-BN2578-BN2577-BN2367-BN2537-BN2406-BN1882), increasing the number of cure cases to 2,429 cases. The number of deaths was 35.

According to the Ministry of Health, nearly 54,000 people in 19 provinces / cities have vaccinated Covid-19. They are staff and health workers directly treating Covid-19 patients, medical staff perform tasks such as sampling, testing, tracing, members of Covid-19 plus groups. and the Steering Committee for epidemic prevention in localities.

According to research and testing units for the Covid-19 vaccine produced by Vietnam to date, 551 people have received the second phase 2 of the Nano Covax vaccine and 66 people injected the first phase 1 vaccine – please Covivac. For the first Covid-19 vaccine in Vietnam, the Nano Covax vaccine, according to the Military Medical Academy, currently the volunteers who have received two full shots, phase 2 are in normal health.

Some people experience mild side effects such as swelling of the injection site, muscle and joint pain, but these reactions go away quickly after rest. Up to now, 551 people have completed the second injection of phase 2, of which 280 people have had the test injection in Long An, 271 people in Hanoi. The remaining 9 people in Hanoi will be vaccinated this week.

According to the plan, by the end of April 2021, there will be evaluation of the results of the second phase of the NanoCovax vaccine clinical trial. Expected early May 2021, vaccine NanoCovax will be clinical phase 3.

Based on the results of phase 1 and phase 2 testing up to now, all experts believe that if it is favorable, by the end of the third quarter of 2021, Vietnam will complete the phase 3 trial for vaccine Nano Covax, shorten the next 3 months compared with the plan previously expected.
