According to the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, localities have organized the relocation and evacuation of 3,250 households with 10,994 people (Quang Tri: 2,796 households with 10,141 people, Thua Thien Hue: 271 households with 780 people, Da Nang. : 23 households with 73 people, Quang Nam: 59 households) in the deeply flooded areas, high risk of landslides.

Implement measures to reinforce and protect dykes, dams and lakes. Critical irrigation and hydropower reservoirs, especially small and medium dams that are full of water, are at high risk of unsafety, should be on guard forces, and have plans to actively evacuate people downstream. to be safe.

Supervise the safe operation of lakes and dams in the area according to the operating procedures approved by the competent authorities, proactively handle all situations arising during the dam’s operation. Guide people to implement plans to protect agricultural production, proactively harvest rice, crops, and aquatic products at harvest, especially in areas prone to deep flooding; actively draining buffer water to prevent flooding, protect production.

Currently, the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention has sent 2 working groups to continue to inspect, urge and inspect the prevention and control of natural disasters in the provinces of Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Quang Ngai.

The localities have urgently organized the search for missing people, relocated and evacuated people from deeply flooded areas, high risk of landslides to safety places; issuing telegrams, documents, sending missions to the scene to direct the response and recovery of floods.

The Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control requires localities to continue closely monitoring the rain and flood events that may last until October 14, 2020.
