On May 16, Ms. Nguyen Hang Lan, Director of the Hospital of Hai Duong University of Medical Technology, said that the unit had reactivated Field Hospital 2, which used to treat Covid-19 cases, to support and reduce the load for K Hospital (Hanoi).

The director of the Hospital of Hai Duong University of Medical Technology added that all three facilities of K Hospital are now blocked, containing a large number of patients and family members. This does not guarantee the distance in the prevention and control of Covid-19. Therefore, the Ministry of Health has requested medical facilities of neighboring provinces, including Hai Duong, to support and receive cases requiring treatment.
According to Ms. Nguyen Hang Lan, starting from the afternoon of May 16, the No. 2 Field Hospital received 150 cases of F1, F2 and 150 patients’ family members.
After receiving, Hai Duong University of Medical Technology Hospital will have the main task of managing and isolating the F1, F2. This unit also performs tests to detect whether there are cases of Covid-19 for isolation and treatment. Doctors from K Hospital will return to Hai Duong to coordinate the treatment of cancer patients.
Currently, this hospital has disinfected the entire campus, wards and rearranged beds. The unit also sets up barriers, separates isolation streams and assigns work schedules for medical staff and staff in the process of coordinating with K Hospital.

Also on the afternoon of May 16, 250 students of Hai Duong University of Medical Technology set out to support Bac Giang and Bac Ninh in the work of tracing and taking samples for Covid-19 testing. These are experienced students who participated in tracing during the previous outbreak in Hai Duong province.
Of these, 200 students support Bac Giang province, 50 students support Bac Ninh province.
