Ford Ranger in Vietnam continues to firmly build the “king of pickup”

Ford Vietnam has just announced the business results of the first quarter of 2021, according to which the sales volume achieved by this brand in the first quarter was 5,914 units, an increase of 52% compared to the same period last year. Inside, Ford Ranger sales reached 2,171 vehicles (3 times higher than the previous month).

With this result, sample Ford Ranger pickup truck still leading the segment, far ahead of other competitors such as: Toyota Hilux ranked second with 478 units sold in March (up 3 times compared to February), Mitsubishi Triton sold 130 units (up 28 car) ranked third, Mazda BT-50 sold 119 units (up 38 cars).

With more than 2,000 cars sold in March 2021 and nearly 4,000 vehicles in the first quarter, the Ford Ranger pickup truck continues to be the top-selling model in the segment.

By the end of March, Ford Ranger sold 3,873 cars, on average, sold more than 1,300 vehicles per month, something not many models achieved in the first quarter. This is also the main model of the American brand in Vietnam .

In 2020, the Ford Ranger is also the top sales model in the pickup segment with 13,291 vehicles, far ahead of the second-ranked Toyota Hilux with only 2,642 units. It is expected that, in 2021, this model will continue to hold the sales throne in the segment.

Recently, there have been information and images, New generation Ford Ranger was assembled at a factory in Hai Duong (Vietnam) to meet the great demand of customers. Currently, the automaker has not officially announced, however, if this becomes true, the Ranger will become the first pickup truck to be distributed as a locally assembled vehicle.

Some users expect that when being assembled, the Ford Ranger’s price will be significantly reduced, thereby making it easier for Vietnamese customers to own this pickup model.
