Regarding social housing for industrial park workers, 339 projects have been implemented, with a construction scale of about 372,000 units, with a total area of ​​about 18,600,000 m2, of which 122 projects have been completed. project, with a construction scale of about 54,400 apartments, total area of ​​2,721,500 m2. The ministry is implementing 116 projects with a construction scale of about 152,160 apartments, with a total area of ​​7,608,000 m2.

Regarding social housing for low-income people in urban areas, 153 projects have been completed with construction scale of about 92,490 apartments, with a total area of ​​about 4,624,000 m2. At the same time, continue to implement 223 projects, construction scale of about 219,300 apartments, with a total area of ​​about 10,967,000 m2.

From the beginning of 2022 until now, the total number of social housing and housing for industrial park workers has started is 11 projects with a total of about 25,675 units with a total construction area of ​​about 1,282,850 m2 in many locations. local .

The Ministry of Construction gives priority to deploying dangerous apartment buildings that are subject to demolition such as: Hanoi has inspected 401/1,579 apartment buildings, including 8 dangerous apartment buildings.

Ho Chi Minh City has inspected 474 apartment buildings (573 lots) built before 1975, including 14 grade-D apartments, renovated and repaired 199 apartments with a total investment of 275 billion copper.

Currently, the Ministry of Construction is continuing to implement the Component 1 project of the project “Support to build storm and flood resistant houses” funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) through the United Nations Development Program. country (UNDP); closely coordinate with KOICA to implement the project “Developing an overall policy for social housing in Vietnam in the period of 2021-2030” according to the approved plan.
