Specifically, in the first May of the year, various types of natural disasters such as floods, floods, landslides, etc. have caused 121 houses to collapse, 2,372 houses to be damaged and roofs torn off. Damage to agriculture and livestock: 166,452ha of rice, flooded crops; 17,439 cattle, 42,293 poultry died.

Regarding aquatic products: 299 boats and boats were sunk or damaged; 3,601ha of aquaculture area, 8,723 aquaculture cages were damaged. Regarding traffic: 26 temporary bridges were swept away, 23km of roads collapsed, 463,330m3 of soil and rocks were eroded.

In the face of a complicated, dangerous and unpredictable natural disaster situation, the Prime Minister has issued a directive requesting ministries, departments, branches and localities to step up the work of natural disaster prevention and control, and to protect people and property. of the State and the people.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in 2022, there is a possibility of unusually strong storms with about 10-12 storms and tropical depressions operating in the East Sea. Rainfall in the year tends to increase nationwide, with a high probability of extreme rain.

Rainfall in the North tends to be higher than the average for many years from July to September 2022. In the Central Highlands and the South, rainfall tends to be less than the average from June to September, 2022. From about October to November 2022, the Central Coast, Central Highlands and South of Vietnam, the rainfall tends to increase.
