According to the hotel representative, this is mainly done for foreign crew isolation. The hotel has selected the isolation area from the 4th to the 9th floor with a capacity of about 130 people.
“After more than 1 year of implementing isolation, the hotel has understood the procedures and standards and conditions of the health sector. It is expected that in the near future, the hotel will register an additional 3rd floor for quarantine due to increased demand” – Hotel representatives share.
After that, the delegation checked the Ibis Hong Ha Hotel, where about 200 people can be isolated. At the time of the check-in, the hotel is also welcoming quarantined guests and completing quarantine procedures for more than 10 people.
Quarantine activities in hotels are monitored by camera system.
Through examination, Dr. Thoa assessed that the hotels have followed the correct process to ensure the safety of Covdi-19 disease prevention and control. However, Dr. Thoa suggested hotels need to strengthen surveillance cameras, train staff in the engine room to know the standard procedures, if any abnormalities are detected, they need to notify immediately to promptly respond.
“The hotel also needs to regularly check the engine room, not just the staff on duty. Because the camera is the key, if a re-positive situation occurs after isolation, it will be easy to localize and trace” – Dr. Thoa emphasized.
Doctor Thoa noted that at the door of Ibis Hong Ha Hotel, there is a lot of cars and people entering and leaving. Therefore, the hotel needs to coordinate with the District People’s Committee and the district health sector to guide and allocate appropriate channels.
