Initially, it was determined that 4 students who had anaphylaxis after receiving the Covid-19 vaccine were due to local causes, not due to errors in the injection process or the vaccine.

Out of 4 students with anaphylaxis, 2 had mild illness, were treated at Son Dong Medical Center (Bac Giang), on the afternoon of November 27, their health was stable and they were discharged. Two other children with more severe disease are currently being treated at Bach Mai Hospital, both patients are receiving ECMO (artificial cardiopulmonary) intervention.

According to Ms. Huong, so far, 1 out of 2 patients treated at Bach Mai Hospital has improved in health, but 1 has a poor prognosis.

The Deputy Director of the Bac Giang Department of Health also said that currently, the area is still implementing vaccination for students. Currently, there have been no cases of severe anaphylaxis in the area, some cases of shock or only level 1 anaphylaxis.

Previously, on November 24, the health sector of Bac Giang province organized Covid-19 vaccination for high school students at 2 schools: Son Dong Boarding High School and Son Dong High School No. 2 with about 700 students. born.

During the injection process, 4 students at 2 schools had anaphylaxis, in which 2 students were born in 2005 in 2 schools showed symptoms such as: dizziness, shortness of breath, chest pain, nausea. . After being given first aid by local medical staff, these two students were transferred to Bach Mai Hospital for emergency treatment.

It is known that Bac Giang province launched a campaign to vaccinate against Covid-19 for children from full 12 to under 18 years old with an expected number of 173,977 children.

According to experts, the reaction after vaccination against Covid-19 vaccine can be similar in children to adults. Very common reactions are headache, joint pain, muscle pain, pain at the injection site, fatigue, chills, fever, swelling and redness at the injection site. Children may also have chills, fever, and fatigue. However, experts note that for the Pfizer vaccine, often after the 2nd dose, there will be more reactions than the 1st dose.

According to the statistics of Bac Giang Department of Health, as of November 26, 2021, the whole province has injected 2,040,361 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, in the group of 12 provinces and cities with the injection rate of at least 1 dose. highest population in the country.

For children from 15 years old to under 18 years old, Bac Giang province has developed its own plan and implemented it from the beginning of November, 2021. To date, 61,739 doses of vaccine have been administered, corresponding to nearly 94.4% of children in this age group receiving 1 dose. In which, Bac Giang city and Viet Yen district have completed 100% of Cape 1 as planned, some districts have a low rate such as Luc Ngan (87.0%), Son Dong (56.7%).

In the coming time, the Department of Health and the districts and cities of Bac Giang continue to accelerate the progress of vaccination against Covid-19 for workers, students, the elderly; strive to complete the first injection as soon as possible; increase the dose of 2nd injection, strive to reach the rate of over 70% of the population ≥ 18 years old by the end of November 2021 receiving the 2nd dose and 100% getting the 1st dose. Prepare conditions for vaccination for children. from full 12 years old to <15 years old and develop a plan for injection 3. During the injection process, it is necessary to perform well the screening examination, to avoid unfortunate incidents.
