An additional 12 cases of Covid-19, Vietnam had 1,060 cases


The Ministry of Health said that on October 24, Vietnam discovered 12 new cases (BN1149 – 1160), all of which were immediately isolated. Specifically:

Case 1149 (BN1149): Male, 76 years old, with address in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City

– Case 1150 (BN1150): Male, 55 years old, with address in Dong Da district, Hanoi.

BN1149-1150: a Vietnamese citizen, on October 21, from France, entered Tan Son Nhat Airport on flight VN5010, and was transferred to quarantine at Minh Dam Regiment, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. Test results on October 24 at the Center for Disease Control of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patients are isolated and treated at Long Dien District Medical Center.

– Case 1151 (BN1151): Female, 43 years old, with address in Tien Hai district, Thai Binh province.

Case 1152 (BN1152): Male, 38 years old, with address in Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh province.

Case 1153 (BN1153): Male, 30 years old, with address in Quynh Phu district, Thai Binh province.

BN1151-1153 is a Vietnamese citizen, on October 16, from Russia entered Van Don Airport on flight VN5062, and was transferred to isolation at the 855 Regiment – Ninh Binh Provincial Military Command. The second test result on October 23 at Ninh Binh General Hospital was positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patients are isolated and treated at Cau Yen Regional General Clinic, Hoa Lu District, Ninh Binh Province.

– Case 1154 (BN1154): Male, 25 years old, with address in Ngo Quyen district, Hai Phong city.

Case 1155 (BN1155): Male, 77 years old, with address in Ba Dinh district, Hanoi.

Case 1156 (BN1156): Female, 55 years old, with address in Ba Dinh district, Hanoi.

BN1154-1156 is a Vietnamese citizen, on October 23, from Germany entered Van Don airport on flight VN36, was transferred to quarantine right in Thai Binh province. Test results on October 24 at the Center for Disease Control of Pacific province positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, BN1154 is quarantined and being treated at the Tinh Thai Binh Province General Hospital; BN1155-1156 is being isolated and treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases 2.

Case 1157 (BN1157): Female, 26 years old, with address in Giao Thuy district, Nam Dinh province.

Case 1158 (BN1158): Female, 48 years old, with address in Thanh Ha district, Hai Duong province.

Case 1159 (BN1159): Female, age 29, with address in Ky Anh Town, Ha Tinh Province.

Case 1160 (BN1160): Male, 22 years old, with address in Thanh Ha district, Hai Duong province.

BN1157-1160 is a Vietnamese citizen, on October 20, entering Van Don Airport from Angola on flight VN8, he was transferred to isolation at the 831 Regiment, Tan Yen district, Bac Giang province. Test results on October 23 at the Center for Disease Control Bac Giang province positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, the patients are isolated and treated at Dong Anh Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

Up to now, the total number of Covid-19 cases in Vietnam is 1,160 cases of which 691 cases are caused by domestic infection and 469 cases are immediately isolated. The total number of people in close contact and entry from the epidemic area under medical monitoring (isolated) is 14,149. Vietnam has had no cases of Covid-19 infection in the community for 52 days.

Among the cases of Covid-19 under treatment, the number of cases that were negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus was 4 cases, the second time was 3, and the third time was 16. Currently, there are no more severe cases of Covid-19 in our country. The number of cured cases is 1,051, the death is still 35 cases.

The National Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of Covid-19 stated that the Covid-19 epidemic in the world has not yet decreased, the risk of increasing strongly again in winter in places where anti-epidemic measures are loosened. In the country, although the epidemic has been well controlled, if neglected, subjective, and not strictly implemented measures to prevent epidemics, the epidemic can still reappear, causing great consequences. Therefore, measures against the epidemic Covid-19 should be observed.
