8 more cases of Covid-19, Vietnam had 1,134 cases


The Ministry of Health said that during the day, the whole country recorded 8 new cases (BN1127-1134) were all entry cases, isolated right in Quang Ninh (5), Khanh Hoa (2) and Tien Giang (1). Specifically:

Case 1127 (BN1127) in Quang Ninh: Male, 28 years old, located in Tan Phu ward, district 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

Case 1128 (BN1128) in Quang Ninh: Male, 28 years old, is located in Hiep Binh Chanh Ward, Thu Duc, Ho Chi Minh City.

Case 1129 (BN1129) in Quang Ninh: Male, 24 years old, has address in Diem Dien commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province.

Case 1130 (BN1130) in Quang Ninh: Male, 48 years old, is located in Tu Ky town, Tu Ky district, Hai Duong province.

Case 1131 (BN1131) in Quang Ninh: Female, 51 years old, is located in Dao Xa commune, Thanh Thuy district, Phu Tho province.

On October 16, the above patients from Russia entered Van Don airport on flight VN5062, immediately after their entry in Quang Ninh. On October 17, the patients were sampled for the first time, the results were 5 patients positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently, these 5 patients are isolated and treated at Hospital No. 2 – Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province.

Case 1132 (BN1132) in Tien Giang: Male, 7 months old, Australian nationality (returning to Vietnam with his mother Vietnamese nationality), is located in Ward 3, Tay Ninh City, Tay Ninh Province. On October 15, a patient from Australia entered Can Tho Airport on flight QH89, immediately quarantined after his entry at the local Military School’s isolation ward, Tien Giang province. On October 17, the Center for Disease Control of Tien Giang province took a sample and sent it to the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City to test for SARS-CoV-2. On October 17, the patient tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. Currently the patient is isolated and treated at Long Dinh Field Hospital, Tien Giang Province.

Case 1133 (BN1133) in Khanh Hoa: Male, 23 years old, Vietnamese nationality, is a monk in Myanmar, with addresses in Tan Thanh, Binh Tan, Vinh Long.

Case 1134 (BN1134) in Khanh Hoa: Male, 35 years old, Vietnamese nationality, is a monk in Myanmar, with addresses in Lien Truc, An Nhon, Binh Dinh. On October 15, the two above patients from Myanmar entered Cam Ranh Airport on flight VJ2735, concentrated isolated after their entry at the C19 Training Company – Khanh Hoa Border Guard. On October 16, the Center for Disease Control of Khanh Hoa province took samples and sent them to Pasteur Institute for testing in Nha Trang. On October 18, the test results had 2 patients positive for SAR-CoV-2. Currently, the two above patients are isolated and treated at Cam Ranh Regional General Hospital.

Vietnam currently records a total of 1,134 cases Covid-19 of which 691 cases of Covid-19 were caused by domestic infection, 443 cases of imported diseases were immediately isolated. Total number of people in close contact and entry from the epidemic area are under medical monitoring (quarantine): 13,515.

Up to now, Vietnam has not recorded cases of Covid-19 in the community for 46 days. Number of cured cases: 1,031 cases. Number of deaths: 35 cases.
