5 Vietnamese people are in the top 100 of the best scientists in Asia

Asian Scientist (Singapore) has just honored 5 Vietnamese scientists in the list of 100 Asian scientists for their outstanding achievements in research.

This list is to honor scientists and leaders whose research contributes to solving the world’s hot issues, including Covid-19 epidemic prevention.

Honors on this list must have a national or international award in 2020. In addition, the honoree must have a significant record in scientific discovery or be a leader in academia / field. field.

5 Vietnamese scientists in the top 100 best scientists in Asia this year are Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Thu Ha (Thai Nguyen University); Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vuong Thi Ngoc Lan (University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City); Assoc.Prof. Dr. Le Thi Quynh Mai (Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology); Assoc.Prof. Dr. Pham Tien Son (Dalat University); Dr. Nguyen Truong Thanh Hieu (Ton Duc Thang University).

In the field of Agriculture, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Thu Ha is the recipient of the Kovalevskaia Award in 2019 for his research on propagation and intensive cultivation of medicinal plants, development of local medicinal plants.

In the field of Biomedical Science there is Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vuong Thi Ngoc Lan – one of three recipients of the Ta Quang Buu Award in 2020 for a comparison study between fresh and frozen embryo transfer methods for in vitro fertilization and Assoc.Prof. Dr. Le Thi Quynh Mai – the head of a group of female scientists awarded the Kovalevskaia Prize in 2019 for successfully isolating a new strain of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, making Vietnam one of the first four countries to successfully isolate this virus.

Mathematics field there is Assoc.Prof. Dr. Pham Tien Son, one of the three scientists who received the Ta Quang Buu Prize in 2020 for his research on “General properties of semi-algebraic planning”.

Field of Physics has Dr. Nguyen Truong Thanh Hieu, one of three recipients of the Ta Quang Buu Award in 2020 for his work “Average Free Distance of Low Energy Electronics in Materials”.

This is the 6th consecutive year Asian Scientist magazine has honored the best researchers in Asia. Other scientists from all over Asia are: China, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand.
